This 52cm square bandana is made of 100% cotton and dyed by hand printing with designs derived from the four seasons, nature, and culture of Japan. It features soothing tones based on traditional Japanese colors such as indigo and sumi ink.

The technique of faceting, which creates a shimmering and varied look in glass, was brought to Japan by the Nanbam trade. The scaly pattern on the outer frame, consisting of repeating equilateral triangles that resemble the scales of a fish or snake, is meant to ward off evil spirits. The center section has a faceted cut design, and the beauty of the fine and delicate pattern gives it a dignified atmosphere.
