Kamawanu's original tenugui shirt is made of "bleached fabric," which has a pleasantly light feel to the skin. It is dyed by "Chusen," a dyeing technique unique to Japan. The colors may fade due to the hand-dyeing process, but the shirt becomes softer and more comfortable every time it is washed.
In Japan, a spider seen in the morning is considered a sign that “a waiting person is coming” and has been a good-luck charm since ancient times.
Our Tenugui towel are dyed by hand by craftsmen using a dyeing technique called CHUSEN.
