This tenugui is slightly longer than usual, approximately 98 cm, which is just right for wrapping around the head for kendo and other sports.
It is also recommended as a gift because of the meaning of the pattern.
The name Aomiha is the name of a Gagaku (ancient Japanese court music) dance piece that was designed into costumes. The pattern of endless waves that come and go is an auspicious pattern that wishes for eternal happiness.
Our Tenugui towel are dyed by hand by craftsmen using a dyeing technique called CHUSEN.
