This pattern depicts cranes, turtles, pine, bamboo, and plum, which have long been considered a motif of good luck in Japan. The cranes and turtles symbolize long life. The crane and turtle symbolize longevity, and the Three Friends of Winter are beloved as auspicious plants because the plum, bamboo, and pine trees never cease to bloom and leaf even in winter.
Our Tenugui towel are dyed by hand by craftsmen using a dyeing technique called CHUSEN.
