Wisteria is a fertile plant. The Japanese word "Fuji" means "never dying," which leads to the meaning of immortality. Therefore, the wisteria flower is a symbol of longevity and prosperity of descendants, and its tufted flowers resemble ears of rice, which is considered auspicious for a bountiful harvest, and can be used for a wide range of celebratory occasions. Wisteria flowers have a calm and elegant atmosphere and can be easily matched with Japanese-style clothing, making them a good choice for art appreciation and practice.

Our Tenugui towel are dyed by hand by craftsmen using a dyeing technique called CHUSEN.
