his tenugui features the kimono pattern from Otani Oniji III in the Role of the Servant Edobei, the first and most iconic work of enigmatic artist Toshusai Sharaku, whose career spanned just 10 months. The stylish striped pattern was the height of Edo fashion at the time. Drape it over your shoulders or wrap it smartly around your neck as a collar, and you’ll feel like you’re back in old Edo.
Our Tenugui towel are dyed by hand by craftsmen using a dyeing technique called CHUSEN.
