Foxes have been an integral part of Japanese culture since ancient times. They have appeared in many ukiyo-e prints. At times, they were thought of as tricking humans, and at times, they were imagined to be messengers of the gods. We made a pattern out of the image of foxes huddling together and crafted a design that imparts the fluffiness and warmth of their fur. This tenugui is perfect for wrapping around the neck as a scarf or laying atop a basket as a cover.
Our Tenugui towel are dyed by hand by craftsmen using a dyeing technique called CHUSEN. ＞HOW TENUGUI ARE MADE
