KAMAWANU Furoshiki
A square cloth as your canvas
A new series from KAMAWANU celebrates the freedom of expression through a variety of dyeing techniques. Each square cloth becomes a canvas for creativity, allowing designs to reflect not just the act of wrapping, but also your mood, the changing seasons, or moments of inspiration.
With every use, a furoshiki can take on a new form, with new possibilities emerging with each user. Enjoy it as a fabric that naturally accompanies daily life, bringing the same sense of excitement as coordinating an outfit or rearranging a room.
How to Use
Versatile Uses with the 100 cm Size
Thanks to their generous size, our large furoshiki offer endless possibilities. They can be worn as fashion accessories, such as light shawls draped over the shoulders, or used in home décor—as room dividers, storage covers, or tablecloths—to add a stylish touch to any space.
With a little creativity, these cloths can take on countless forms. Enjoy them as versatile fabrics that naturally integrate into daily life.
A new 2026 design.
A mirror of the sky across the fields.
This furoshiki depicts Japan’s beautiful rural landscapes—a patchwork of hometown scenes and travel memories—capturing the countryside we hope to pass on to future generations. Young rice seedlings growing toward the blue sky bring a refreshing feeling.
Use it as a curtain or noren-style divider to enjoy the changing seasons as part of your interior décor.
About the Dyeing
Inkjet printing faithfully reproduces delicate, multi-colored designs on the fabric.
Inkjet printing uses pigment-based inks. Since these inks mostly remain on the surface rather than fully penetrating the fibers, the reverse side of the fabric appears lighter or whiter compared with hand-printed (nassen) fabrics.
About the Fabric
Our furoshiki are crafted from lightweight cotton with a soft touch and delicate translucency that beautifully showcases intricate designs. Carefully woven from fine threads, the fabric has a smooth feel and a subtle, refined sheen.
*Please note: As the fabric differs from that used for hand-printed (nassen) furoshiki, there may be slight differences in texture.
